Created during the pandemic and exploring issues of confusion at the time, hopes, fears, memories all jumbled up and at times feeling inside out, upside down, but overall focusing on the quirky, silly and playful parts of life and not taking things too seriously as a way of coping.
Exploring the process of adding and subtracting until a balance is found. Using various methods of layering and piecing together fragments through mixed media and then scraping, sanding and peeling off – metaphorically delving deeper to discover what lies beneath and our hidden strengths.
The painting is signed on the front and the surface is protected with UV safe varnish.
