Acrylic layers were built up and worked back into – a process of addition and subtraction until a balanced composition was found. I included collage papers made during a collage workshop I ran earlier using acrylic painting and gelli plate printing, here specifically prints of leaves and seedheads found in my garden. This piece forms part of a small abstract series inspired by the landscape surrounding my home studio here in the South West of England.
The painting is signed on the back and the surface is protected with UV safe varnish.
