So often we have to hold it together, grit teeth, keep calm and carry on. This painting reminds me of the contained chaos we have to hold at times and of what really goes on under the calm surface. Created during the pandemic with built up layers on panel – shapes, colours and textures inspired by the exquisite surrounding landscape here in Devon, UK. I love the raw, expressionistic feel of this piece. Part of an ongoing series looking at ways we cope with stress and trauma and how it manifests in our mind and body.
The painting is signed with my initials on the front and full details and signature on the back. The surface is protected with UV safe varnish.
