These two abstracts were inspired by the landscape surrounding my studio here in South West of England. The starting point was a breathtaking beautiful winter walk towards the river Otter – frozen seedheads and leaves all around; they evolved into graphitti-like pieces, reminding me of marks left on weathered walls.
This often happens where I start with one idea and through the painting process the work evolves with built up surface history of layers. The last images show how the two paintings could sit together and framing options. Paintings sold seperately.
The painting is signed on the front and the surface is protected with UV safe varnish.
