Immerse yourself in the dynamic energy of Dartmoor captured in this mixed media abstract landscape. My son is training for ten tors on Dartmoor again this year and the weather has been relentless at times. Inspired by the beauty of stormy weather, rain clouds swirling, contrasted by the bursts of purple heather and radiant yellow peeking through on sunny days. I’ve layered brushstrokes with drawing, texture and colour to evoke the raw emotion of the moorland with marks symbolic of the scars seen in this ancient landscape.. The juxtaposition of bold mark making against soft washes creates a visual symphony, drawing the viewer into a world of nature’s untamed spirit.
The painting is signed on the front and the surface is protected with UV safe varnish.
