I have always had a deep affinity with the natural world and draw inspiration from the textures, colour, patterns and atmosphere experienced. Exploring the surrounding countryside and nearby Jurassic coast, I collect interesting objects which I keep in my studio for inspiration and mark-making including fossils, dried seed-heads, pebbles, decaying flowers and leaf skeletons. This tranquil piece forms part of a small series and the abstract nature allows the viewer their own imagination and interpretation.
The painting is signed on the front and the surface is protected with UV safe varnish.
