I love this colourful and quirky abstract which was inspired by countryside and coastal walks here in the South West of England. With my work on wood panel, I enjoy exploring the process of adding and subtracting until a balance is found. I utilise various methods of layering and piecing together fragments through mixed media and then scraping, sanding and peeling off – metaphorically delving deeper to discover what lies beneath.
